Presbytery Grants – Did You Know?

Did you know that the Presbytery offers several
different types of grants to resource congregations
in their mission and ministry?

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

Luke 10:2

Missional Partnership Grants

We have been telling you about the Missional Practices for several years. We continue to persist in sharing the importance of congregations and disciples engaging these practices.

As the Missional Practices begin to form as habits within the life of the congregation a clearer sense of God’s vision and direction will emerge.

The Missional Ministry Team wants to encourage congregations to engage in one or more the Missional Practices by offering $500 grants as seed money.

Last year one grant was used to support a workshop presentation on two of the Missional practices. Another grant was used to extend hospitality into the community.

Missional Practices are the tools for moving a church
toward their calling in God’s mission and ministry.

After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. Luke 10: 1

Emerging Ministry Partnership Grants

The Presbytery of Newton is committed to supporting and resourcing the mission and ministries of our partner congregations.

One way the presbytery supports congregations is through a partnership grant for new ideas and projects in mission and ministry.  Mission and Ministry grants are for people and churches with shared passion and vision for new missions, projects or ministry opportunities.
