The Presbyterian Hunger Program awarded $113,000 in grants to help congregations and community groups weather the high demand for assistance during the pandemic. Food banks, pantries and kitchens are reporting high volume of first-time clients. Let us pray for those who are facing food insecurity.
Loving Provider, In the name of Jesus, who gave bread to the hungry, we remember all who during this pandemic find themselves in a place where they don’t know if they will be able to feed their families day to day.
Show us ways to help alleviate their fear and to find ways to be part of the effort to provide food for all during this time of crisis. Bless the efforts of food banks, kitchens, pantries and all those creative and innovative ministries.
We pray in the name of the one who fed 5000 with a few loaves and a couple of fish.
