200th Anniversary Celebration Coming Soon

200th Anniversary Celebration

We will be celebrating our 200th Anniversary at the Presbytery Meeting on November 14 at Harmony Presbyterian Church.

Here is how you can participate!

Photo Video

There will be a photo video of pictures of all Newton congregations  for the Prelude of the worship service. Please send electronically a couple of pictures of your church to Sonja at [email protected] . These can be historic photos or something  more recent. Please do not send actual hardcopy pictures, only electronic/digital pictures. Please make sure you clearly identify the name and location of your congregation. We do have many First Presbyterian churches in Newton Presbytery.

History of the congregations Display

Bring no more than two objects, pictures in frames or artifacts that tell something about your congregation.  The items will be on display before the meeting and during the Presbytery meeting break.
Please let Sonja know that you are bringing something to display so she can have a display tag. Email her at [email protected]

Pickup Choir

We will have a 200th Anniversary Choir. If you are interested in being part of the choir  please RSVP at [email protected]. The one selection will be My Shepherd will Supply my Need (Psalm 23) to the tune of RESIGNATION.  The choir will have one rehearsal on the day of the meeting around noon.  More details will be sent to you after your RSVP.
