March Presbytery Meeting Prayers

The Presbytery of Newton met on March 10 for the March Presbytery meeting. At that time, we were becoming more aware of the conversations about social distancing. Within the next 48 hours our lives began to change dramatically.

At each presbytery meeting we receive monetary and prayer offerings. The monetary offering is used for the Clergy Care fund that supports emergency support for pastors and their families. This fund has supported many of our pastors through those tough moments in life. As we are on the threshold of a national health emergency this fund may be critical for our ability to support pastors. A gift no matter what size is greatly appreciated. You can make an online gift from our webpage.

The prayer cards, distributed with the worship guide, are normally shared in following newsletter. We missed including the prayers in the following newsletter. Today we are sharing the offering of prayers from the March Presbytery meeting.

As the weeks move forward we want to encourage the Newton Presbytery community to continue to offer prayers and concerns and for each of us to take a moment in our day or week to lift up, support and carry with us the concerns and prayers of each other.  Share  your prayers with the Newton Presbytery Community by clicking here or going to the bottom of the website homepage. They will be posted regularly on our webpage on the Presbytery in Prayer blog.
